Congrats to two of our employees who received degrees from Spalding University. Kamia Hunter has a degree in Accounting and Business Administration and Sara Schott has a Master of Business Communication with a concentration in accounting. Both credit St. Joe’s with giving them the support they needed to nurture their professional growth.
Kamia says: “St. Joe’s has given me an opportunity to put my knowledge gained from school to use. While working here, I’ve gained experience and knowledge about what an accountant does. It has been a very nurturing and welcoming environment.”
Sara says: “St. Joe’s tuition reimbursement program was beneficial for me. The support and the guidance I received from our leaders helped me believe in myself and accomplish my goals. Spalding University offers 6-week sessions instead of semesters to help balance the workload of classes, work in general, and your personal life. I was very blessed to have the support from my boss, Debbie Turner, CFO, who checked in and made sure everything was going smoothly. Learning to balance my life with this big task over the last two years made me grow as an individual at work and at home. Communication is key when it comes to leading a team and that is what the path to this degree taught me. I believe my degree will help not only myself, but also St. Joe’s.”
