Niela Cobble has been working with children for over 20 years – starting as a substitute teacher for Jefferson County Public Schools – and transitioning into childcare for younger kids. She is a master at juggling duties without skipping a beat and says she “wears many hats,” which includes monitoring and supporting classrooms, doing tours of the center, and taking on the role of a teacher/assistant in the classroom. Niela has a Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies from Tennessee State University and a Director’s Credential and Child Development Associate. The work culture at St. Joe’s and solid relationships she has built with her colleagues have been invaluable to Niela. “Everyday, I come into St. Joe’s knowing my purpose. We [the staff] are a family, and I just love St. Joe’s. It feels like a second home to me.”
