“My biggest passion is being able to bring awareness to the rest of the community about the support our kids need and generating funds for us to continue our mission.”
Lee Anne Alsup, our new development director, describes herself as an extrovert who thrives on helping people use their talents for the betterment of the community. “I want to know what they are looking to be part of, and I want to find that opportunity for them. This job is an outlet for that,” she says. Prior to St. Joe’s, Lee Anne was the senior manager of volunteer engagement outreach at the Traeger Family Jewish Community Center and Jewish Federation of Louisville. She managed their annual campaign, worked with donors, volunteers, and events. Lee Anne oversaw Dignity Grows – a program that provides feminine hygiene products to women and girls in the community. Between her background in child development and experience in the nonprofit sector, Lee Anne says this new job position with St. Joe’s was a nice blending of the two. “My biggest passion is being able to bring awareness to the rest of the community about the support our kids need and generating funds for us to continue our mission.” Lee Anne’s appreciation for family can be seen on her right arm – literally. She has tattoos of both her grandfathers who have passed away. “I have a very small family, so I hold them close.” Lee Anne says she is looking forward to learning more about St. Joe’s and helping people understand the importance of the work we do.
